In collaboration with the Doris Duke Theatre at the Honolulu Museum of Art, join us for a weekend of screenings of Chasing Ice and Chasing Coral. These two visually stunning documentaries, directed by Jeff Orlowski, depict the effects of climate change through glaciers and coral reefs. Chasing Ice follows renowned National Geographic photographer James Balog on a mission to place 30 cameras across three continents to gather visual evidence of the Earth’s melting ice. Panel discussions with environmental scientists and educators will accompany the film and will address how current issues of climate change affect Hawaii today. This event is free, but please RSVP in advance. Doors open at 12:30pm.
